What is Team Formation?
Team formation is the Forming, Storming, Norming & Performing process every team goes through, to become a true team. (Thanks Bruce Tuckman, for your model).
Why does Team Formation Matter?
Most teams start off with everyone on their best behaviour (Forming) until irritations inevitably moves group to Storming. Not every team gets out of Storming & many teams take a while to reach Norming. No team can get to Norming without going through Storming.
But the faster you get to Norming, the more productive your team...
How do you know if you're in Storming or Norming?
If there's a lot of back-biting, little co-operation, endless bickering or no engagement at all or actions agreed to but not delivered, you're in Storming.
If you're discussing ground rules & ways of showing up, you're in Norming.

It's a fun session, where participants get to understand themselves & their peers better & collectively build team ground rules across a range of common conflict flashpoints.
