What are Assessments?

The human is complex and multi-layered.  The more leaders and managers understand those layers, in general and as they apply to themselves, the more self-aware they are and how they may impact other people.

 

Psychometric Assessments are credible tools that help people understand different aspects of themselves.  We offer assessments in Insights Discovery and Emotional Intelligence.  

What is Insights Discovery?

Insights Discovery is a model that explains people's energy preferences, broken out into how people:

  • Perceive information
  • Recharge their batteries
  • Make decisions


Introducing the model to your business enables short-hand language to provide performance guidance to different, common management situations.  The type of guidance you'd struggle to give without the model & common language. 

What is Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional Intelligence is the knowledge we can gain from tapping into emotions, ours & others.  We learn to recognise how we express ourselves into the world and how that impacts on others. 


Emotional Intelligence can be self-report or 360. We can actively enhance our emotional intelligence.  And don't worry, emotionally intelligent managers are likely to become less emotional, not more emotional.  

How are Assessments Used?

Assessments can be delivered as follows:

  • Stand alone assessment with 1 hour feedback
  • Delivered as part of a coaching programme
  • Delivered as part of a leadership programme
  • Insights Discovery collective debrief can be incorporated into leadership programme or team formation workshop

How are Assessments delivered?

Candidates receive email communication with link to online assessment.  Reports are generated by facilitator. 

Debrief: typically virtually but could be in-person, if part of in-person event. 

What Difference Will these Make?

If someone is leaking emotion all over the place, you can be very sure there's frustration, friction and irritation with others.  This means they're focusing their energy on their emotions, not delivering the outputs & outcomes your business needs them to deliver.

Will People Hide Behind Their Results?

They might try but we use these 2 tools specifically because they encourage behaviour adjustments. Emotional Intelligence can be strengthened, so no, that's not the "way they are". With Insights Discovery, we can develop strategies & techniques that help us flex style to situation. If they hide behind them, they are being allowed to.
