Why Senior Recruitment?

Who you bring in externally at a senior level hugely impacts your business's future. Lots of small companies hire experienced big- corporate types, thinking they'll help us grow to that!  Spoiler alert...most of them won't.  Most of them weren't involved, they came into a fully formed organisation.  That's not necessarily what you need.


Plus your senior hire will have outsized impact on culture & your current employees.  This is a risky hire; it needs to be taken very seriously.

1. Help you articulate what your business actually needs in an external hire.  There's a lot more managers that can manage a well-functioning dept compared to the number that can build departments.


2. Help you design your interview process, to increase likelihood of a successful hire.  What do you need to see demonstrated, to be able to find the right fit for you?


3. Attend interviews & provide perspective, as an input to your final selection.   

What Value Will You Bring?

The best interview process delivers a 2-in-3 success rate i.e., every 3 hire is wrong.  Your success rate is likely lower than than.  So no guarantees. 


But, my understanding of:

  • Leadership requirements in different sized businesses & stages of growth
  • Human frameworks & where individuals are likely to land
  • Human biases & where they might be interfering with hiring process


Along with my listening & questioning skills, means I can spot things that others miss. 

You'll still make the decision but with high-quality input on how candidates are likely to succeed in your business.

How is this service delivered?

Design: virtual or in-person, depending on your location and travel budget.

Interviews: in-person, in Ireland or UK

What is Your Role during Interviews?

This will be discussed and finalised, as part of interview process design stage; but to give you a sense, I will take an active role in the interview.  I will seek to drill down into situations, to determine how good they really are vs what their cv says.  If there are parts of interviewing you find difficult, I can pick those parts up. 

What Happens if We Still Get it Wrong?

There are zero guarantees with recruitment so yes, even having me in the room, it could still go wrong.  If it happens within first 3 months, I'm happy to facilitate a complimentary trouble-shooting session, to determine what went wrong & what changes are required.  I will also offer you 50% discount on interview attendance fees.
