  • Management Development

    A key management skill over the last decade has been effective interviewing. During my Interviewing Skills course, I ask managers to identify the costs of ineffective interviewing.

    One long list later, I ask them which costs impact them, as managers. I then sit back and watch jaws drop, as they realise that all costs impact them, directly or indirectly.

    Management is the process of delivering results through others. Development of your management team is key to realising your Vision.

  • Personal Development

    In a meeting, I became aware that an Assistant Manager's communication skills had changed. She was more open and sought to understand others before speaking. During a quiet moment, I outlined my observations.

    She explained that she had deliberately tried out suggestions from my Communication Skills course and had such positive responses, she continued practicing the skills. She is a senior manager now.
